GRANDE BOUCHE GYPSY JAZZ GUITAR

MODÈLE VAGABOND

The Modèle Vagabond represents my modern interpretation of the classic Grande Bouche Gypsy Jazz guitar. Built with a long 670 mm scale and responsive hand-voiced construction, it delivers the quick attack, projection, and dry articulation the style is known for — while retaining warmth and depth across the full register.

A torrefied Sitka spruce top gives the instrument an immediate, played-in response, while Pau Ferro back and sides add clarity, sustain, and low-end definition. Together, they create a voice that feels both familiar and distinctly modern.

This particular build features a custom Hélio radial rosette surrounding the D-hole, paired with a hand-toned Tobacco Burst finish for a subtle vintage character. The Heritage Gold headstock script returns here as a nod to earlier influences that helped shape the design language of the instrument.

An African mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, open-gear tuners, polished brass DR Dell Arte tailpiece, and hand-shaped rosewood bridge complete the build. A fitted hardshell case is included.

The instrument shown here is currently available for purchase. Full specifications, pricing, and checkout details can be found in the shop listing below.

I love the straight-up jazz purity of your guitars. The response feels immediate and inspiring, with remarkable clarity and balance throughout the instrument.

PETITE BOUCHE GYPSY JAZZ GUITAR

MODÈLE NOMADE

The Modèle Nomade is my interpretation of the classic Petite Bouche Gypsy Jazz guitar. Built with a smaller oval soundhole and long 670 mm scale, it delivers the fast response, focused projection, and articulate midrange that define the traditional Selmer-style voice — while retaining warmth, balance, and harmonic depth.

A solid Sinker Redwood top gives the instrument an immediate, responsive character with rich overtones and strong dynamic range. Ziricote back and sides add clarity, low-end authority, and complex harmonic texture, creating a voice that feels both refined and deeply musical.

This particular build features a custom rosette surrounding the petite bouche soundhole, paired with a hand-applied finish that enhances both resonance and visual depth while allowing the natural character of the tonewoods to remain central to the instrument.

An African mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, premium open-gear tuners, polished brass Selmer-style tailpiece, and ebony bridge complete the build. An upgraded Hiscox hardshell case is included.

The instrument shown here is currently available for purchase. Full specifications, pricing, and checkout details can be found in the shop listing below.

Really loving the instrument — it’s blowing my mind.
The tone carries for miles and the long scale feels incredible to play.
The book-matched top, back, and sides are unbelievable, and the moustache bridge is fantastic.

Thank you for all of the care, patience, skill, and artistry you put into the build.
