THE INSTRUMENT
The Model No. 1 — OM is built around a clear, balanced voice that holds together across the full range of the instrument.
Each guitar is voiced by hand, with an emphasis on note separation, dynamic response, and a low end that supports rather than overwhelms.
While it sits within the OM lineage, the design is reworked in both form and structure — with a refined body shape and a more efficient use of the soundboard.
MODEL NO.1
The Model No. 1 — OM is a modern reworking of the orchestral model, built around a clear, balanced voice and a responsive top.
A refined body shape and structured rim allow the soundboard to work more efficiently — increasing clarity, projection, and dynamic range without adding unnecessary mass.
It remains articulate under a light touch, but holds together when pushed — with strong note separation and a controlled low end.
A concealed bolt-on/bolt-off neck system and carbon reinforcement provide long-term stability, precise alignment, and serviceability without compromise.

Far more than a musical instrument — a treasured and deeply meaningful heirloom. The sound is incomparable to any guitar I have ever strummed or heard, and its significance will last my lifetime and beyond when it is passed down to my children one day.

The soundboard defines the voice of the instrument.
Sitka spruce offers clarity and headroom, while alternative softwoods introduce subtle shifts in warmth, response, and character.
Each top is selected and voiced to suit the build.
BACK & SIDE OPTIONS
The back and sides shape the instrument’s response and character.
Dense hardwoods reflect energy back into the soundboard, influencing warmth, clarity, and sustain.
Each set is selected for its tonal contribution and visual presence—no two are alike.
TUNING MACHINE OPTIONS
Tuning machines are selected for precision, reliability, and visual balance.
Schaller GrandTune and Gotoh 510 offer smooth, stable tuning with a refined, understated aesthetic.
Each set is chosen to complement the instrument— visually and functionally.
NECK OPTIONS
Neck wood is selected for stability, feel, and balance.
Honduran mahogany provides a consistent, responsive foundation with a familiar feel.
Each neck is shaped and finished in context—refining how the instrument plays and responds.
FINISH OPTIONS
Finish influences both the feel and response of the instrument.
Polyurethane offers clarity, durability, and a refined gloss.
Hand-rubbed oil produces a thinner, open-pore surface with a warmer, more natural character.
Crafted and voiced in my Okanagan workshop, I build steel-string acoustic and gypsy jazz guitars—each shaped, voiced, and finished by hand.
