ORDERING A WHITNEY GUITAR

Thank you for your interest!

To learn how to order a Whitney Guitar, there are a few options; The first is to browse our shop for available models, and the second is to pre-order your own customized guitar. Feel free to send us an email outlining your requests, or read more below.

OK - I'M INTERESTED! WHAT'S THE FIRST STEP?

We like to get to know our players. How you play, what you play and the features that you most enjoy such as sound quality, fit, finish and feel all come into play when building a custom guitar. The first step to ordering your own ‘Whitney Guitar’ is to contact us so we can discuss and build the perfect guitar for you.

HOW DO I PAY?

Once you’ve confirmed the order via email, we will send a PayPal request of 50% of the total cost as a deposit.

Upon receipt of the deposit, we will begin the construction process. Since all ‘Whitney Guitars’ are built by hand for each customer,  the 50% deposit is non-refundable if the customer later regrets or rejects the order.

When your ‘Whitney Guitar’ is completed, you will receive an email with pictures and a PayPal request for the remaining 50% balance before shipment. Once that balance had been received, we will ship the guitar to you.

Alternately, you can come by the shop to pick up your new guitar and settle up your account.

NOTE: Failure to complete the final payment within 30 days will be considered as a cancellation.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO BUILD MY GUITAR?

Generally, it takes a minimum of twelve weeks from the time of receipt of the deposit to the time of shipment to build a custom ‘Whitney Guitar’.

This is a process that cannot be expedited as it takes time to select the woods, to process them, and for the lacquer to fully cure. Before the guitar is complete, it will also receive a thorough adjustment and setup to give the guitar perfect playability.

Often, we photograph or video our work to share on social media, so this is a good way for you to see the build process.

Please note that if there is a waiting list, your order will be placed in priority sequence. We will discuss any wait-times with you during our initial correspondence.

HOW DO I GET THE GUITAR ONCE IT'S FINISHED?

If you’re not local and can’t make it to the shop, we ship worldwide.

If you would like a shipping quote ahead of time, send an e-mail with your address so we can give you the exact shipping price. In most cases, the freight price is $200 USD tracked and insured.

Generally, it takes 5-10 business days for the guitar to arrive to your door from Canada.

DOES THE GUITAR INCLUDE A CASE?

Yes. To protect your new ‘Whitney Guitar’, all orders include s standard hard-shell, Tolex case in either black or brown. The case is padded with plush inserts to protect the instrument. If you would like to upgrade the case we can discuss that during our initial correspondence.
